Gildar Gallery is thrilled to be participating in the curated section of ArtBo 2016 in Bogota, Columbia with a solo booth with works by the artist Zach Reini.  Titled Figuratismo this section of the fair curated by curator Jens Hoffman will feature 15 contemporary galleries featuring individual artists whose work engages with a the resurgent theme of figuration in contemporary artwork.

Zach Reini's artwork has gained notoriety for engaging with a visual archive comprised of perpetually resurrected cultural and commercial symbols that have broken from their historical origins. These floating signifiers find themselves resurfacing across time and geography often with transformed meanings, leaving a sense that perhaps all values are subject to change. Reini exploits this open field with a wry sense of humor to create objects at once familiar to many contexts, yet particular to none.

Zach Reini's artwork has been shown nationally and internationally including recent solo exhibitions at Bill Brady, Kansas City, Brand New, Milan and Gildar Gallery, Denver. He has previously exhibited works at LVL3 in Chicago, as well as NAM Projects in Milan. His works have been displayed at NADA Art Fair in New York and Miami and was identified by Artsy as one of 11 works to see in 2014. Reini has had a solo exhibition at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art in 2012 and was most recently featured in the exhibition Thief Among Thieves at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Denver.
